Description
As a homage to his home country, Giulio imported Sangiovese vines from the rolling hills of Tuscany. Today, we’re still one of the few estates in South Africa to grow and vinify this versatile Italian cultivar.
Morgenster’s version of Chianti Classico. Fruit sweetness initially, with a lingering taste of cherry and dark prune. Tannins are well managed and juicy, with a soft, elegant acidity. Made in an approachable style – light, fresh and fruit-driven.
Pair with tomato-based sauces, especially those with herbs like basil and oregano. A classic spaghetti pomodoro would work nicely.
Serve at 12-15 Deg
Enjoy now through to 2028.
