Description
Almost equal portions of each of the varieties.
The bouquet is flush with aromas of black cherries, mulberries, and raspberries, underpinned by notes of cassis and subtle hints of white pepper. The palate is brooding with flavours of black fruits that burst forth, enveloped by fine, grippy tannins that pave the way for a luxuriously prolonged finish.
Pairs well with pizza with all its various toppings (but not too much chilli), all traditionally prepared meat dishes (i.e., stews and grills), grilled or roasted game fish (ideally without a lemon-based sauce) or for pudding. Pears in red wine will find a partner in this versatile wine.
