Iona’s One Man Band Red 2020 is a blend that typically highlights the vibrant fruit and nuanced complexity of the cool climate of the Elgin Valley in South Africa. This wine often combines varietals like Syrah (47%), Petit Verdot (19%), Nebbiolo (16%), Mourvedre (8%), Cabernet Sauvignon (8%) and Viognier (2%).
A bouquet of dark fruits such as plum and blackcurrant, along with notes of spice, herbs and a hint of earthiness. On the palate, full-bodied with flavours of ripe berry, dark chocolate and a touch of pepper or smoke. The finish is elegant with lingering fruit and subtle oak influences.
