Description

Kottabos is a Greek drinking game of the highest skill – where after many glasses of wine one elegantly flings the leftover lees from naturally unfiltered wine toward predetermined targets in the room with fellow drinking friends. In this case, ‘Kottabos’ is a small side project from Reenen Borman of Boschkloof in which he experiments with more adventurous winemaking techniques on grapes grown in the Polkadraai Hills.

Two separate samples of Chenin Blanc used from Polkadraai in Stellenbosch. 60% percent of the wine was whole bunch fermented for a total of 6 days. Aged in older French oak barrels for 11 months. This adds texture and depth, with notes of ripe stone fruit, tangerine zest and subtle spice, all balanced by a refreshing acidity.

Serve at 7-9 Deg.

Perfect for pairing with rich dishes like grilled chicken, roasted vegetables, or creamy pasta.
