A bright clear medium ruby colour. The nose, starting with violets, evolves into blackberry and bramble. The palate is vibrant with a touch of complex spices, like freshly crushed black pepper and liquorice.
The elegance of the wine makes it a versatile pairing wine. Try it with red meat, duck or ostrich, and venison. At its very best around a fire and in good company.
