Description
The wine is vinified and matured in 500-litre, older barriques to preserve the delicate aromas and structure of the wine. Our Waterford Shiraz is named after the first winemaker at the Estate, who had an incredible passion for the cultivar.
The colour of the wine has transitioned to a brick-red hue as the tannins and colour pigments have evolved with age. The palate continues to exhibit full richness and generosity, with soft tannins and gentle mineral acidity extending the finish of this perfectly aged and poised wine.
Drinking beautifully now and can be cellared for a further 5 to 9 years.
Shiraz is a classic pairing with grilled meats, such as steak, lamb chops, and pork tenderloin. The rich, full-bodied flavour of the wine complements the smoky flavours of the grill and the meat’s natural juices.
