ALL DUTIES, TAXES AND INSURANCE CHARGES ARE COVERED BY THE SHIPPING FEE. No extra costs. We have a 100% delivery rate, and all wines are packed in styrofoam with reinforced boxes. In case of any damage or breakage, your package will be resent immediately – no questions asked.

This is a door to door delivery service. Our courier company (Aspiring) will be in contact with you from the moment the wines depart our warehouse to when they are delivered at your door.

The shipping fee per bottle reduces significantly when you purchase 24 bottles and more. Shipping fees on wines going to the USA can reduce to as little as $20 per bottle when you order 36 bottles or more.

Why would I order from Getwine?

Getwine offers a range of wines that are not available in some export markets – you might have favourite wines that you can’t find anywhere else. So, by buying from us you can enjoy wines with your friends that are not available elsewhere. A delivery from Getwine can also be a special luxury gift for a friend who would like to experience South African wines.

Will it be less expensive to order via Getwine rather than buying in a wine store?

The wines at Getwine are often less expensive than what you will pay for the same wines at the winery in South Africa. If you order wines in quantities of 24 bottles or more, it might work out less expensive than what you would pay in a wine shop near you.

How long will it take to receive my order?

Your order will be delivered in Europe within 5-7 working days from the shipping date.

Your order will be delivered in the USA within 21 days from the shipping date.

Your order will be delivered in the UK within 14 days from the shipping date.

Your order will be delivered in Hong Kong, Japan and Singapore within 5 – 10 working days from the shipping date.

If wines are delayed it is usually due to customs, but our courier company will keep you informed if this happens.

Can I feel confident that my order will be safely delivered to my door by the promised delivery date?

Yes, Getwine has a 100% delivery rate. All wines are repacked in styrofoam with reinforced boxes, and your package will be insured so in a case of possible damage, it will be replaced immediately with no questions asked.

Will my wine order be protected from heat and potential damage during shipping?

Your wine is safe from breakage and extreme weather conditions. All wines are repacked in styrofoam and reinforced boxes, and your package is insured so in case of damage, it will be replaced immediately with no questions asked.

In cases of extreme conditions, your package may be held back until it is safe to travel but you will be notified of a new delivery date by our courier company.

Why are South African wines more affordable than European and American wines?

South Africa has fantastic, high-quality wines, but the South African currency (ZAR) is weaker than the Euro and US Dollar.

Although our barrels, corks and most of our wine bottles are purchased from the EU and paid for in Euro, we try to keep our pricing as competitive as possible.

Why is shipping so high compared to the wines I am buying?

Our shipping price covers air freight and includes the normal duties and taxes thereof, as well as a door-to-door delivery within a very short time period.

Our catalogue includes a variety of wines that aren’t available in your country anywhere else, and you’ll be able to order your old favourites at any time. If you order 24 bottles or more, the shipping fee per bottle is reduced tremendously, to the point where it’s less expensive than purchasing 24 bottles or more of the same wine in a shop in the USA.

Can I order wine as a gift to be delivered at another address, or as corporate gifting to the other Directors of my company?

Wine from Getwine is a very special gift and can be delivered almost anywhere in the world. As long as you supply us with the consignee details, we can make the delivery.

Can I order a mixed case of wines with 6 different wines per case?

Yes, you can.

What are the smallest and largest quantities of bottles that I can order?

Wines are shipping in cases of 6, so this will be the smallest order you can place.

You can order up to 100 cases (of 6 bottles each) to be delivered at one address. That’s 600 bottles!

Could wine from Getwine be an option for corporate gifting at the end of the year?

Yes, as long as you order a case of at least 6 bottles and supply us with the delivery address, we will be able to deliver to their door.

Who should I contact if some of the bottles in my package arrive broken?

You can send us a photo of the damage products on info@getwine.co.za, and we will replace the damaged product items ASAP.

Delivery Details

We’ll make sure your monthly wine packs are on their way to you as soon as possible. Once we’ve processed your payment, your pack will be dispatched within the next 1-3 working days. Monthly payments will be charged every month on the day you signed up.

Here’s what you can expect for delivery times:

Main Centres in South Africa: Within 2 working days.
Cape Town: The following working day.
For those living in rural areas, please be aware that delivery might be on specific days of the week.
